Farmers might be able to do a lot with number eight wire but it’s not much use for telecommunications so I’m delighted that the government’s proposal for getting affordable, high speed broadband to most of New Zealand hasn’t forgotten those of us outside cities and towns. The government is also committed to improving the state of New Zealand’s telecommunications infrastructure in rural areas.
